Dry Creek Italian

Project Description: Sited on a breathtaking property in the hills of Healdsburg, the proposed residence at Dry Creek attempts to capitalize on the amazing views and the design is heavily influenced by the traditional Italian Villa architecture that is appropriate for the wine growing culture and warm climate that allows for a true indoor-outdoor living experience. The design attempts to create a simple and meticulously detailed home that has subtle beauty in the natural materials, the traditional forms, and the blending of indoor and outdoor spaces through courtyards and terraces. There are a number of expansive glass sliding partition walls that can slide into wall pockets to completely open the living spaces to the outdoors. There are a few more modern forms and design elements that are conceived as contemporary touches on an old stone ruin to create a cohesive architecture that fits in the Healdsburg landscape.
